
The Eiffel Tower is located on the Champs de Mars in Paris. It was built in 1889 by Gustave Eiffel for the entrance arch in 1889 World's Fair. It is also the tallest monument in Paris since it is 324 m (1,063 ft) high and is also the most paid-visited monument in the world. It was the tallest tower in the world from 1889 to 1930.
The contruction of the Eiffel Tower started in 1887 and was finished in 1889. Three hundred workers joined 18,038 of puddle iron (a very pure form of stucctural iron) and it weighs 7,300 tonnes.
